Bandverzinkung St.Ingbert

In 1997, MEISER took over the strip galvanising division from Drahtwerk St. Ingbert which was part of Saarstahl. This product division had been purchasing strip steel as a good customer of MEISER for many years. The division was to be closed which would have proved to be a blow to MEISER. After careful analysis, MEISER decided to get involved in the strip galvanising business itself and to take over the entire division and its workforce at St. Ingbert.

Extensive modernisation and expansion work costing several million DM followed and the company focused on higher value products, above all barrel strips and barrel hoops used in the production of wine barrels in France. Under the management of Achim Rivinius and Sascha Glässner, the division has established itself as an important and profitable unit within MEISER, supplementing MEISER’s wide product portfolio. Today, the division is managed by Sascha Glässner and Andreas Staudt.

Apart from the grating activities, the St. Ingbert site is very important for MEISER and ensures the requisite diversification within the company.
